Pre Birthday Festivities- plastic, pink, pretty

Lets Talk Mean Girls.

Everyone has interacted with one mean girl at one point in their life and I am sure there were a couple times where you thought, Gee- was that nice of me? Am I right?  If you guys know the movie “Mean Girls” then you have an idea as to what I am talking about!   Talk about shifting your perspective, WOW! The whole crew behind this show really did an outstanding job. This production went from girls ripping their friend’s hair out to sending positive messages out to one another real quick.

You guys, this wasn’t like any other Broadway show I have seen but let me just say this was certainly a SHOW for sure! Everything from the wardrobe to the way the set was designed really captured the moment of the Mean Girls Movie and not to mention the acting was incred. But enough about the synopsis lets talk outfit deets, food and more!

I decided to wear pink because we all know the plastics only wear pink on Wednesdays! Well it was Friday and my dad and I made SURE we wearing pink just for fun, ya know? See how I styled my outfit below!

My Dad and I drove in Friday night and of course had to eat a little something before it was showtime. The palm sounded good. Dirty martinis with three olives is what we ordered and that was it. KIDDING!!! You’re looking at the biggest foodie over here. Ok let’s get serious, The Palm is known for steak so of course, we had to indulge. We shared the wedge salad as an Continue reading “Pre Birthday Festivities- plastic, pink, pretty”

My favorite sweater of the season, AND Gap is making a come back!!!

Hello guys!!! Happy Happy New Year, I had to share with you my favorite sweater of the season. This bright, vibrant, colorful sweater is from the Gap and I absolutely love it. Not only is it so warm but it’s so flattering too and the colors are fabulous! Overall this was a great purchase and I snagged it on sale! Even better, I know.

I paired mine with some plain white skinny jeans, I know it’s winter but I thought this look was gorgeous and so chic. To keep me extra warm and cozy, I added my caramel, furry coat. (Actually stole this from my mom’s closet, anyone else do this? lol)

Anyway guys, always try to add some color into your outfit even if it’s your socks. I know, all black outfits are fun but it’s always good to change it up a bit and add some color every now and then! Shop my sweater here, Gap Sweater (the one I am wearing)

Party In The Back

When there’s a party in the front AND the back. Yes girl! Totally rocked this look that is hands down the most fun to wear! I had to bring out my classic, paisley, party pants, just this time I added more color to really give this look more oomph. I also love the incredible detail in this white, silk blazer.  I am not usually into crop tops but because these silk pants can be worn as high waisted, I thought both pieces balanced each other out! Also guys, my burgundy clutch with the big “J” on the front is Juicy Couture which is, like, extremely old.  (I’m talking like 10 years old, if you know what I mean)  At the time, this blazer was found at a boutique down the shore, but everything else from this outfit can be shopped down below.

Year Round Booties

Ever need a cute ankle boot for all seasons of the year? Looking for that one, classic style to go with just about anything? Then you’re in luck! Bloomingdales never seems to disappoint. They always provide me with exceptional services and I know I can always count on their inventory being new and improved.

As always, I love a good slit to show some skin or better yet rhinestones, studs or sequins to give the boot more of an oomph.

So, with that being said, shop away 🙂

Mexican fiesta

OK you guys, I don’t know about you, but if someone mentions guac and margaritas in the same sentence, I am in! (picture me running, it’s a very funny scene). It’s a Mexican fiesta up in here! Who’s with me? So, this recipe calls for bright colors, being Mexican themed and all. Not only do we have to look the part, but we have to dress the part too.  I mean hello people!!! Take out those sombreros and lets PARTY! Who doesn’t love getting dressed up and eating some of the best foods on this planet. Am I right?  If you said yes, which you should have because Mexican food rocks, you will need some of the essentials. These include party pants, a solid, basic blouse to compliment the party pants, flat sandals (we are approaching spring), and last but not least, that fabulous handbag of yours that I know you are oh so dying to bring out of the closet.  Voila! You can’t forget to show it off to everyone, of course.  Keep it mind, the theme is a Mexican fiesta, so don’t be afraid to really go crazy with the colors! Bold is better! Embrace it!  Continue reading “Mexican fiesta”
