Pre Birthday Festivities- plastic, pink, pretty

Lets Talk Mean Girls.

Everyone has interacted with one mean girl at one point in their life and I am sure there were a couple times where you thought, Gee- was that nice of me? Am I right?  If you guys know the movie “Mean Girls” then you have an idea as to what I am talking about!   Talk about shifting your perspective, WOW! The whole crew behind this show really did an outstanding job. This production went from girls ripping their friend’s hair out to sending positive messages out to one another real quick.

You guys, this wasn’t like any other Broadway show I have seen but let me just say this was certainly a SHOW for sure! Everything from the wardrobe to the way the set was designed really captured the moment of the Mean Girls Movie and not to mention the acting was incred. But enough about the synopsis lets talk outfit deets, food and more!

I decided to wear pink because we all know the plastics only wear pink on Wednesdays! Well it was Friday and my dad and I made SURE we wearing pink just for fun, ya know? See how I styled my outfit below!

My Dad and I drove in Friday night and of course had to eat a little something before it was showtime. The palm sounded good. Dirty martinis with three olives is what we ordered and that was it. KIDDING!!! You’re looking at the biggest foodie over here. Ok let’s get serious, The Palm is known for steak so of course, we had to indulge. We shared the wedge salad as an Continue reading “Pre Birthday Festivities- plastic, pink, pretty”

Business Chic

So recently, I attended my school career/ internship fair. Although, this fair was intended for graduates and I knew I wanted to head back to New York for the summer, I thought going would be good practice!

Of course, at these events, you never know who you are going to meet so as always I dressed the part while looking professional yet still maintaining my style. It’s so important to look good on job interviews while keeping true to yourself. This is your first impression on the company, so look your best girl!

Above, I decided to wear a white, crisp, button down shirt with my faux, black, leather leggings and black, little booties. I kept this look simple and on the conservative side but added a pop of color with my purple Kate Spade bag.

This bag is perfect for school and can easily be transitioned into a work bag. It’s also big enough to hold a folder with my resume(s) so that at any time i can whip it out and POW! Just kidding guys, but common, you can’t hold your resume in a mini cross body bag!

I really loved this look in the end because it allowed me to be my edgy self with still keeping it business chic. Shop my favorite pieces (and look alikes) below.

A Day at the Whitney Museum

Friday was sure chilly but lucky for me I was able to head into New York City and go to the Whitney Museum for the first time!  It’s located in the Meatpacking District and it’s also close to The Rolling Stones Exhibit which is so cool! I suggest going to both if you can. I went with my mom and after we saw everything we wanted to see we checked out the restaurant Bubby’s for some hearty chicken noodle soup, although my mom got a kale salad 😉 either way, it’s so delicious and we’ll definitely be back.

I call this outfit modern museum chic. When I walk around NYC I always want to be semi-comfortable so these bell bottom jeans did just the trick! I paired them with a vintage, white button down and this awesome leopard coat. How cute?

Enjoy XOXO

Purple Baby

Ok you guys so I happen to have a lot of favorite colors, but I must say the color purple never disappoints.  These Carmar purple jeans are not only gorgeous but so comfortable too. I love a good high waisted one so if you are on the look out, I highly recommend these babies! Enjoy!

Cheetahlicious

Guys!!! Spring is just around the corner but that doesn’t mean these bad boys get lost in the shuffle! I am so excited to bring out these cheetah, silk pants! Because they’re silk they are not to heavy which makes them great in the spring. They’re perfect for any dinner or evening occasion.  Love a good cheetah outfit, always.

Year Round Booties

Ever need a cute ankle boot for all seasons of the year? Looking for that one, classic style to go with just about anything? Then you’re in luck! Bloomingdales never seems to disappoint. They always provide me with exceptional services and I know I can always count on their inventory being new and improved.

As always, I love a good slit to show some skin or better yet rhinestones, studs or sequins to give the boot more of an oomph.

So, with that being said, shop away 🙂
